Description
I am a second generation real estate broker whose started in the business by answering the phones in my father's real estate agency while I was in high school. In college, I worked for a real estate developer in Portland restoring the corner of Cumberland and High Streets. I started out on the construction side of the business and ended up in the office handling purchasing and property management where it became obvious that I was better working with a phone and a computer than with circular saws and framing hammers.
After graduation from the University of Southern Maine I spent the next several years in public service at a non-profit legal services organization in Augusta. It took 15 years but eventually I realized that my father had been right and I should get my real estate license.
I have been active in community affairs at the local and state level having served on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Town of Damariscotta's Charter Commission as well as several years on the Board of Trustees of the Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust. I am a past President of the Lincoln County Board of Realtors and have served on the Board of Directors of the Maine Association of Realtors.
I love being on the water and exploring the rivers, bays and coves of the midcoast. I currently live in South Bristol with my wife and can often be seen following our two rescue pugs on walks through the neighborhood. I have a grown daughter who is a practicing attorney in Boston and a son in the United States Navy stationed in Bremerton, Washington.
