a steadily growing real estate market. The stable government and economy, low
crime, great infrastructure, world class restaurants and hotels and daily
international flights may explain this phenomenon - however we are sure that it
has much to do with the friendly people, perfect year round climate and laid
back atmosphere guaranteed to relax the most energetic executive. Barbados is
often in the media spotlight - the likes of Tiger Woods was married at the World
Famous Sandy Lane Hotel which also attracts the well heeled and super famous
from every continent. The real estate market in Barbados can generally be
described as exclusive and luxurious - investors or those coming to live here
can choose from 3 - 6 bedroom fairway villas with panoramic sea views, state of
the art townhouses and villas in gated communities with endless facilities and
conveniences or luxury beach front apartments or homes offering the best in
idyllic and exclusive tropical living. Interestingly there are very few
restrictions on buying property in Barbados and information is readily
available. Owners will need to pay annual property taxes which are approx. 0.65%
of the land tax value - there is however no capital gains tax or inheritance
tax. On a sale owners will need to pay 7.5% transfer tax and 1% stamp duty for
property which is not registered offshore. We are best placed to introduce you
