Valerie was awarded the Residential Real Estate Service Award in 2005 by the Bermuda Annual Product and Service Award Magazine. She has been in the business for 17 years, starting at L.P. Gutteridge Real Estate then in 1991 joining Rego Sotherby's International Realty. Valerie is "a people's person" she believes in "Client's First and giving 100% Professional Service" which has earned her the respect of repeat and referral clients some of whom have become personal friends. Outside of her real estate profession, she is President of Eden Salon and Spa, member of the Kardias Club and The Mid Ocean Club. Being an avid golfer she has been captain and playing member of the Kitty Michael Golf Team who traveled representing Bermuda in several golf tournaments in the US, Canada and Caribbean Islands, is on the board of the Bermuda Golf Association, Vice President of the Executive Women Golf Association Bermuda Chapter, worked with the PGA Grand Slam of Golf in Bermuda for year 2009 and 2010 as Corporate Hospitality Chairperson and the year 2010 and 2011 as Executive Vice Chair . Married to Leon E. Nearon, has 5 children and 11 grandchildren. Her hobbies are golf, walking, dancing, sewing and travel.
