Kate grew up in Fairfield County, Connecticut and attended both private and public schools throughout New England. While living in Weston, Connecticut she brought up two children and worked as an international toy buyer for a concern in New Canaan, Connecticut, and was privileged to travel the world looking for the perfect toys. Eventually she worked in the commercial film industry and worked on both sides of the cameras. Her career has also included working as a food editor for a national publishing company.
In 1988 she accepted an invitation to visit a small hotel in Port Clyde, and realized that Maine was a place she had been looking for since childhood.
Maine provided her with an aesthetic and life style that fulfilled her need for a simple yet beautiful life. While living in Maine she fell in love with the architecture of the New England coast and has now been in the real estate industry providing service to both buyers and sellers.
