Description

Kendra Connelly has always been destined to sell luxury real estate — it just took a youth filled with exploration, independence, self-reliance, confidence and promise for her future to crystallize. That peripatetic lifestyle of her adolescence has given Kendra a profound appreciation for Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area’s inclusiveness, stability and diverse culture.

“Toronto is one of the world’s leading-edge cities,” she says. “We’re like a mini New York, but we do it better because the people here are so warm and welcoming. There is a kindness in the air that just feels like ‘home.’”

Kendra now has more than 20 years of experience guiding clients in one of life’s most important decisions, their home. While her intelligence, experience and patience are lauded as driving factors behind her success, it is her unrelenting empathy that bonds her to clients for life.

“I’ve been through a lot. There is nothing you can throw at me that I can’t handle. I won’t let anything distract me from my goal of completing each transaction in the best possible terms for my customers. Their happiness is what truly matters to me,” she says.

Kendra joined Sotheby’s International Realty Canada in 2011 because she felt the company and its global network better supported her burgeoning luxury clientele. In 2018, she launched The Connelly Group, which has further buttressed her reputation as a driving force and innovator in the real estate industry.

Growing up in Fenelon Falls, then transitioning to downtown Toronto, has led Kendra to appreciate and embrace the convergence of pastoral and urban lifestyles. To that end, she and her husband, Chris, recently relocated to Jackson’s Point in Georgina.

“More and more, I am finding like-minded people seeking the idyllic semi-rural lifestyle while retaining the ability to quickly and comfortably access the vast cultural options that downtown Toronto affords,” Kendra says. “Jackson’s Point is such an easy commute. I can be in the heart of Toronto in an hour.”

Kendra and Chris maintain a remarkably active lifestyle. Their two red Dobermans are by their sides whenever possible. If not working around their new house, weekends find Kendra and Chris attending any one of myriad local festivals and social engagements. They leap at any opportunity for travel, having extensively explored the Far East and Caribbean in particular, with Europe next on the list.

Kendra is also an ardent gym rat, recently double-medalling — at the surprising age of 48 — at a regional bodybuilding and qualifying for nationals. “The gym is truly my happy place,” she says. “I’ve always been passionate about my fitness. I live my life, gladly, in service of others. But the gym is the one place where I can focus on myself. It keeps me grounded and infuses me with energy that I carry with me into my professional life.”

A rising passion in Kendra and Chris’s lives is golf. They recently joined a local club and are honing their skills while simultaneously enjoying the social opportunities and charitable outreach the membership sponsors.

If you’re out-and-about in Jackson’s Point, you may spot Kendra fulfilling a lifelong dream in her recently-acquired ’72 Corvette Stingray C3 T-Top.
