Description
Kathryn Swift is a Licensed Salesperson who began her career in real estate at a boutique brokerage firm right at the downturn in the financial markets in late 2008 – and earned the Rookie of the Year award in 2009. Experience in marketing, project management, consumer relations, and consulting for 15 years prior to real estate provides her with a holistic perspective on advising her clients on selling, buying, or renting the home that is right for them.
Kathryn offers her sellers not only keen negotiation, consistent communication and responsiveness, but also an eye for design and home staging, which helps attract the best buyers. With clients wishing to buy, Kathryn performs tireless research based on wishes and needs and prepares her clients to be ready so that the process of purchasing, whether it is for the first time or for the third investment, is seamless. She assembles a team of professionals to ensure a smooth journey to the closing table. For her renters, she matches their unique tastes and needs to the myriad options available to them throughout New York City. And for the landlords whom she represents, Kathryn obtains qualified tenants who meet each landlord’s specific requirements. Kathryn's get-it-done attitude and adaptability enable her to successfully partner with her clients, regardless of where they are located.
Since 2008, the city has become her office and Kathryn has represented clients in selling, buying, and renting across a variety of neighborhoods from Bedford-Stuyvesant to Long Island City to nearly every part of Manhattan. Through Sotheby’s International Realty’s global network of real estate professionals, she has also successfully helped clients buy and sell domestically and internationally.
Kathryn grew up in a coastal town in New England and graduated from the American University in Washington, DC with a degree in international studies, French, and communications. She spent six years living in Cape Town, South Africa, a place that will always hold a very special place in her heart. She also lived in the Philippines on a marketing client project. Since moving to NYC, Kathryn lived in the West Village for almost 20 years and now calls Chelsea home.
Kathryn is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
