With over 25 years of real estate experience and a proud New Yorker since 1987, Dana Williams brings deep expertise and a personal touch to guiding her clients. Known for her diligence, resourcefulness, and attentive listening, Dana has earned consistent recognition from Sotheby’s International Realty leadership for her outstanding performance.
Dana joined Sotheby’s International Realty in 2007, after serving as a director at a major Manhattan real estate firm for eight years. There, she launched and led a department that became a national model for assisting buyers and sellers with renovation, relocation, and staging services.
Before that, Dana founded and ran a successful personal assistance and home management business, serving high-profile clients in media, entertainment, fashion, politics, and the arts. She began her career at ABC News, working on a weekly business broadcast.
Dana holds a degree in International Service from American University in Washington, D.C. and studied abroad in Kenya. She has also lived in France, St. Thomas, San Francisco, and Boston, and spent her formative years in both Denver and St. Louis.
A committed community advocate, Dana has held leadership roles supporting several New York City organizations, including the Children’s Aid Society, Village Preservation’s Brokers Partnership, and Habitat for Humanity NYC. She has served on boards, organized major events, and produced live crowdfunding fundraisers for grassroots initiatives such as Harlem Grown and STEM From Dance. Dana also proudly volunteered for the inaugural Tribeca Film Festival, mentored teens for six years, and led voter registration efforts.
Today, Dana serves on the board of the Riverdale Main Street Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting local businesses and enhancing neighborhood life. She has organized block parties and community events to foster stronger local connections. Most recently, she was invited to join the Advisory Council of Pen + Brush, an organization that supports women artists and writers
