Andrea grew up in the quiet suburb south of Boston, Hingham, Massachusetts. She holds a BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI, as well as a MA in Special Education.
Andrea and her husband Mark, a native of Port Washington, NY, have called the Manchester area home for the past 25 years. Before settling here, they lived in various parts of the country, including the Pacific Northwest, specifically Seattle, WA, and Fairfield, CT. Their shared passion for fly fishing and upland bird hunting initially drew them to Vermont. Since making the move, they have found it to be the perfect fit for them and a great place to raise their two boys, Miles and Maxx.
"We have lived in the area for 25 years, raised our children here, and continue to enjoy all the area has to offer from a local perspective as well as the likings of a tourist," Andrea says. "My family loves hiking, biking, fishing, and kayaking in the warmer months, and skiing in the winter."
The charm of Manchester, the tight-knit community, and immediate involvement in civic duties solidified their decision to call it home. Both boys were students at local schools, with Maxx currently a junior at Burr and Burton Academy, where he excels in bass fishing, lacrosse, and playing guitar. Maxx is also an ambitious entrepreneur and avid golfer, with a passion for the sport that led him to work at Equinox Golf Course.
Miles, a recent BBA alum, is a sophomore at his mom’s alma mater, Salve Regina University, where he contributed both on the football team and in the classroom.
Their deep connection to the area and active lifestyle have allowed them to fully immerse themselves in the community and all it has to offer.
