Description

Prior to the launch of her real estate career in February of 2000, Gerri-Lynn proudly served her country as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. She was awarded the Army Achievement Medal as well as the Army and Navy Commendation Medals. In 1997, while working as a Civilian at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Okinawa, she was awarded Civilian of the Quarter and Civilian of the Year. Gerri-Lynn was also nominated for the Federal Woman of the Year in 1997 and was the keynote speaker at the Federal Woman of the Year Ceremony. In 1984 while stationed in Ft Huachuca, Arizona, she purchased a home using her VA eligibility since no one would rent to her as a single parent. That condo became a rental property that years later turned into a nice nest egg. Perhaps this was the start of a passion for helping the military use their VA benefits to purchase a home. After raising her two sons, Gerri-Lynn was motivated to become a REALTOR® by a strong desire to help others achieve the dream of homeownership. Utilizing the strong work ethic, determination, and discipline that led to her success in the Armed Forces, Gerri-Lynn has earned numerous awards and professional distinctions. In 2011, Gerri-Lynn received the 2010 Leadership Award from the San Diego Association of REALTORS®. The Coronado Association of REALTORS® awarded Gerri-Lynn REALTOR® of the Year 2011. The San Diego Association of REALTORS®, with membership above 12,000, awarded Gerri-Lynn the 2013 REALTOR® of the Year to recognize her ethics, integrity, and service to the community, and again in 2020! Gerri-Lynn has been honored year after year with San Diego Magazine's Five Star client service award. A commitment to match her services to her clients' changing needs has motivated Gerri-Lynn throughout her career. To ensure her buyers and sellers have the resources and information they need to make sound decisions, she earned the following designations from the National Association of REALTORS®: Accredited Buyer Representation (ABR), Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate REALTOR ® Institute (GRI), Military Relocation Professional (MRP), Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) and Transnational Referral Certification (TRC). Gerri-Lynn's simple mission to provide comprehensive representation for her clients has fueled her success and inspired her to donate her time to the real estate profession. As a result of her vast educational background, extensive knowledge of real estate, and impeccable reputation in the community, she has been asked to serve in various leadership roles for REALTOR® associations on both the local and state levels. Gerri-Lynn is currently a Director for the Greater San Diego Association of REALTORS® and is presently serving as the REALTOR® Political Action Committee Chair. Since 2010, she has been a Director for the California Association of REALTORS®. In 2016, she received a three-year Presidential appointment to serve on the Standard Forms (contracts) Advisory Committee. In 2020, she served as the Issues Chair of the Transaction and Regulatory Committee.
