I have been involved in the world of real estate since I obtained my real estate license in Washington, DC while a law student at Georgetown University in the early 1970's. I subsequently practiced law at my own law firm, Carleton & Carleton, from 1981 to 1986, specializing in real estate law and the development of thousands of cooperative apartment units for my own portfolio. Having visited Arizona in 1980, my daughter and I made it our permanent home in 1994. Shortly thereafter, I received my Arizona real estate license and joined the venerable Russ Lyon Realty, which has served the "Valley of the Sun" since 1947. Russ Lyon Realty is now Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty, taking its renowned name to a new "world class" level of service. During the last 15 years of listing and selling Arizona real estate, I have thoroughly enjoyed the "fine art" of matching people with properties and continue to welcome the challenges of doing so in our especially difficult financial environment. Sharing my real estate activities with my life-long love of the equestrian sports of show horses and horse racing, I am presently serving in a number of positions to 'give back' to the sport which has given both my daughter and me memories to last a lifetime. As a horse lover, I have developed an expertise in horse properties and look forward to listing and showing them throughout the Phoenix metro area.
