Laura Farrell is a Senior Vice President and top producer in the TTR Sotheby's International Realty office located in The Plains, the heart of Virginia horse & wine country. She resides where she services the Greater Piedmont area with a consistent high standard of professionalism. With a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Laura brings a disciplined, problem-solving mindset to managing and ultimately closing a full range of transactions. With an upbringing in the Pennsylvania countryside among a family of veterinarians, she has spent a lifetime on horseback as well as the near entirety of her professional career representing buyers and sellers of equestrian and other fine properties from the busy streets of Manhattan to the bucolic backroads of Virginia. With a passion for the outdoors, Laura proudly supports open space initiatives by volunteering in land conservation and stewardship groups such as the Virginia Land Trust and the Piedmont Environmental Council. She is well versed in educating new landowners about conservation easements and land-use tax benefits. In efforts to keep the historic towns and community traditions preserved, she is involved in historical and architectural review committees. As a member of F.I.A.B.C.I., an international real estate federation based out of France she actively networks with international agents. Her experience as a licensed real estate professional in California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York has expanded her network and broadens her knowledge of different real estate markets. In a variety of diverse and competitive backdrops, Laura has worked with numerous investors and continues to maintain these relationships today. In 2017, she inaugurated the TTR Sotheby’s International Realty polo team, competing both locally and internationally. She is an advocate of women’s polo and won the 2023 Ladies French Open in the prestigious Chantilly Polo Club, just outside of Paris.
