Within two months of joining the real estate profession in 1986, Christine had sold her first home, soon to be followed by 23 others that year. With a special talent for matching a potential buyer with just the right Santa Barbara property, Christine combines communication skills honed as a teacher of English with highly effective negotiating skills, attracting loyal clients, referral after referral, and rewarding friendships.
Raised in Santa Barbara, leaving only to obtain a degree from the University of California at Berkeley, Christine next obtained a lifetime teaching credential from UC Santa Barbara. Her writing, speaking and listening skills developed as a former teacher have been of great value to her real estate clients in achieving their goal of selling or finding the perfect retreat. By the time Christine entered the profession, she had been a buyer and a seller many times and as a result, knew what the consumer craved in professional service.
Gifted at imparting the emotional character of each Santa Barbara neighborhood, Christine has developed a unique education tour for those new to the area. She has set a simple goal: to be there through each careful step of the real estate process for a buyer or seller. Joined by her husband in 1993 and now working as a team, the Olivers, Christine and Fal do not employ outside assistants. They personally show all property, hold their own listings open and are on site for every inspection.
Active in the community, Christine is a member of the Board of Directors of the Riviera Association and the Santa Barbara Yacht Club, and volunteers at Laguna Blanca School, where her son Natt is a senior. She enjoys hiking, biking and sailing in the natural surroundings of beautiful Santa Barbara.
Christine considers herself a guide, counselor and worker, but never the final decision maker. She treats buyers and sellers with the dignity they deserve. She listens, takes direction and produces. Christine thinks that is why so many clients have become good friends over the years. They know she wants the very best for them.
