Lou, a native Washingtonian and graduate of Georgetown University, has almost 40 years of professional experience serving all sectors of the real estate industry. Lou first joined TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in 2013, where his sales volume quickly placed him among the most prolific realtors in the region. As a measure of his success, Lou has been honored as a Washingtonian “top agent” from 2016 through 2025, and has also received the coveted “Best Agent” designation multiple times. Lou and his team had an outstanding 2024 with a sales volume of over $140 million.
Prior to focusing on residential transactions, Lou forged an impactful career in commercial real estate. His experience includes roles as Director of Office Leasing at Washington REIT, Director at Cushman & Wakefield in Miami, and Senior Vice President at Smithy Braedon commercial brokerage. His range of work has spanned international sales and leasing transactions while working in Miami and DC.
Lou's sales and development experience encompass a diverse cross-section of price points and locations, from first homes to one-of-a-kind luxury properties. Lou enjoys working with clients in all DC and close-in suburban neighborhoods. He has also recently expanded his service area to Maryland’s Eastern Shore, where he and his husband own a second home in Cambridge’s historic district. Lou's business acumen, negotiating savvy, and deep market knowledge makes him the perfect partner for both buyers and sellers.
Lou strongly believes in giving back to his community. He currently serves as Board Chair of House of Ruth, which provides services including housing and child care for families experiencing homelessness and domestic trauma in DC. He has also served as President of the Board of Sitar Arts Center, a local after-school and summer program for disadvantaged children. Lou is also passionate about animals and is an ardent supporter of several rescue organizations. Lou enjoys exploring all the wonderful parks around DC for fitness and recreation.
