Description
Midge Grunstra was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, married and has two boys, Dean and David, and now four grandchildren. While raising a family, Midge attended college. She started in Hayward, California and completed her degree in Speech Pathology at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. After graduation, Midge secured a position as a speech therapist in a public school system and went on to complete a master's degree at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey while teaching. Midge moved to Ocean City, New Jersey in 1982, continued her career in speech therapy and began to build a career in real estate on a part-time basis. In 1990, Midge earned her broker's license and managed a small office in Ocean City for several years. In 1998, when Goldcoast Sotheby's International Realty opened their doors, Midge was at her desk where she continues to reside, doing sales and rentals on a full-time basis. Midge has attained the Circle of Excellence award each year of her career. In 1995 and 1999, she was named Realtor® Associate of the Year, and in 2004 and 2010 named Ocean City NJ Realtor® of the Year. Midge was the 2010 President of the Ocean City Board of Realtors. She also served as president in 2003. She was the Education Chairperson for the New Jersey Association of Realtors from 2005 to 2010 where she coordinated educational programs for Ocean City, as well as Atlantic & Cape May Counties. Midge spearheaded the Ocean City Realtors' committee to raise funds for the "Shore Tomorrow" campaign for Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, NJ. On April 21, 2010, Midge was honored by the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce as, "Business Women of the Year."
