Janet Scott is a REALTOR®, Accredited Luxury Home Specialist, Certified Silver Preferred Agent with Sotheby's Concierge Auctions, and a Certified Residential Specialist at Premier Sotheby's International Realty in the Marketplace at Dr. Phillips in Southwest Orlando. As a native Floridian, she has more than 30 years of experience in residential real estate.
Janet earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Central Florida and was an accountant and trust tax officer with SunTrust's main branch in Orlando before she became a full-time Central Florida REALTOR®. Janet has always specialized in residential sales, including custom homes, corporate relocation and investment properties.
The art of staging homes for sale and planning the “retail” look of the home for prospective buyers is another one of her strong skills. Janet is also highly experienced in negotiation techniques and short sales and was the exclusive Central Florida foreclosure agent for Republic Bank prior to it being sold.
Janet has earned special recognition with the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation, as a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) and an Accredited Luxury Home Specialist (ALHS). She is a member of the Global Real Estate Council, the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association (ORRA), the Florida Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.
Janet and her husband, Neal, are long-term residents of Orlando. They have three adult children and one daughter-in-law. Neal is in the hotel industry serving major hoteliers in Florida and the Caribbean for many years. Both have a wide range of interests and especially like to visit with others, dine, and enjoy arts, concerts, sporting events and outdoor activities. They especially love their staycations on the coasts of Florida.
