Throughout the community, Diane has been known for many years as an educator, a successful real estate broker, a business owner and an American Studies scholar. Excellence, servant leadership, compassion, strong leadership and a true love for all the roles she plays characterize her life and accomplishments. She has sponsored many valuable causes over the years: an annual military golf tournament that provided for the education of the children of wounded warriors; a business sponsor of the historic Mount Vernon, Life with Cancer, the Campagna Center, Carpenter’s Shelter, Twig, Le Beca Foundation, the Lazarus Ministry and various historical societies and fine art organizations. She is also engaged in many pastoral activities for those in need (spiritually, financially and professionally). Consistently, she has been a teacher; in years past, on the high school and university levels and now through Adult Education and Seminar Offerings. Her real estate expertise includes Historic Properties (she holds a Ph.D. in American Studies, owns a historic property, and has restored several homes in her life), First Time Buyers with numerous educational offerings, a Military Relocation Certified Specialist to help those who serve our country transition into new areas with short notice, and a Senior Transitions Specialist. Her service as a Board of Trustee Member of the Virginia Diocesan Homes and her familiarity with all the various housing choices for Seniors, helps her identify the needs and help her clients make the “next best home” choice. Her father was a carpenter and built the home she was raised in; her earliest memories include watching him create not just a house but a home for his family. In her unique way, she is doing the same. As a wife, mother and grandmother, she continues to rejoice in the gift of family and inclusion in the lives of so many she has come to call “extended family.” Licensed as an Associate Broker in Virginia, the District of Columbia and Maryland, she can serve her clients’ needs throughout the metropolitan area with uncompromised loyalty, confidentiality, integrity and the highest level of service. She was invited to join the Sotheby’s family after having her own company for almost 25 years and has been recently named a Vice President. She has earned numerous Performance Awards throughout her career.
