Description
Born in 1946, Thomas Newton spent his formative years in Bucks County Pa, graduating from Central Bucks High School in Doylestown, class of '64, having been in the National Honor Society for four years and working up to 1st chair, 1st clarinet in the HS band. Receiving a full academic scholarship, he enrolled in the engineering program at Lafayette College, class of '68. Other schools attended were Temple U and Delaware Valley College, plus many night schools over the years for this and that, especially accounting. Among many jobs over the years, he especially enjoyed being a Systems Engineer for Computer Sciences, 1978-1982. Controller for Graphic Dimensions, 1983-1990. Owner and President of The Mettle Co, 1990-2006. Realtor®, 2006-present. Tom is a collaborative negotiator, having passed the course for Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), and an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®). He has won various awards over the years as a Realtor®. He also does some business consulting and accounting using Quick Books for various small firms. Tom has with two grown sons and one grandson. He has lived in central NJ since 1971, and the boys went through the Scotch Plains/Fanwood school system. Main hobby: Tournament Duplicate Bridge player. Back in the '60s and '70s, his main interest was competitive sailboat racing on Lake George (member and Board Member of The Lake George Yacht Club).
