Description
A Virginian and West Virginian is currently a resident of Charles Town, WV which is her father’s family home. She and her husband live in the South Charles Town Historic District in a circa 1850 home. In addition they own a 26 acre farm in Jefferson County home to their five horses and various wildlife. Robin is an accomplished Interior Designer, NCIDQ certified; painter, and potter with Bachelor of Science degrees in Fine Arts and Interior Design from the University of South Carolina and Virginia Commonwealth University, respectively. As a Commercial Interior Designer of 25 years, she managed projects for many government agencies, including the Department of Defense, which presented her an Award for Excellence for her work on the post-911 Pentagon reconstruction program. She earned her West Virginia Real Estate license November of 2010. With her interior design and construction background, project management skills, attention to detail and problem solving skills she offers her professionalism and expertise to her clients which has resulted in referrals, repeat business, and long term relationships. She has a love and knowledge of the Eastern Panhandle history, historical homes, and is eager to share with families looking to settle in the area. Committed to her community, Robin is a Board Member of Friends of Happy Retreat, a nonprofit organization which in 2015 acquired Happy Retreat the home of Charles Washington, founder of Charles Town. The home is currently being restored to be a center for history, heritage tourism, and cultural events. As an active member she is past President and Vice President of Dolley Madison Garden Club which focuses on Community Service projects. She follows City and County issues providing comment and support where appropriate. An avid horsewoman Robin plays polo, has traveled to many countries in Europe Central and South America and is committed to the environment with strong concern for preservation of habitat and endangered species.
