Avendui Lacovara grew up in and around Baltimore City, with family homes in the Cedarcroft and Bolton Hill neighborhoods. Following her graduation from Bryn Mawr, Avendui made her way to NYU to study Studio Art and Art History. In New York City, she curated corporate art collections for private collectors and Fortune 500 companies, including AIG, Hearst Corporation, Bankers Trust, Bear Sterns, and Bank of New York. In 1996, she returned home to Baltimore to start a family with her husband, Andrew. Avendui immediately joined the Baltimore art scene, working with the Gomez Gallery and assisting with collection installations at the Waterfront Marriott. She segued into real estate in 2001, a natural progression combining her passions for art, architecture, curation and commerce. Just as she facilitated fine-art acquisition for billion-dollar companies, Avendui excels at pairing discerning buyers with homes that match their lifestyles and interests.
