Doylestown native and Lehigh Valley resident Katie Werner brings a wealth of real-estate experience and an artistic eye to Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty. A graduate of McDaniel College in Maryland, Katie earned a degree in Studio Art and Art History. After graduation, her life took a very interesting turn. Katie secured a job working for world-renowned portraitist Nelson Shanks. Assisting in both his U.S. and London studios, Katie was present for sittings involving some of Shanks’ most notable subjects, including Princess Diana and former prime minister Margaret Thatcher. This experience interacting with famous and powerful people has proven useful in her real-estate career. Katie’s approach to clients and negotiation, to managing the myriad details inherent in every home purchase and sale no matter the price point, is to be the calm, guiding hand that helps her clients get the best deal and reach the settlement table. “I take a highly customized approach to each client whether it’s in the search for homes that would be a good match, answering questions about a property under consideration or, on the seller side, advising clients as they prepare to list a home for sale and helping them through the process,” says Katie. “Even the smoothest transactions can have some bumps, and it’s my job to resolve those situations for my clients.” Katie’s roots in historic Doylestown Borough may be one reason she enjoys older homes, including stone houses and early architecture. She appreciates the “personality” each historical house has and the often unique elements that have been added over time. She presently resides with her husband and two children in a mid-century modern home in the Lehigh Valley and is active in her community, including as a lacrosse coach for the past seven years. Living near Saucon Valley Country Club, Katie is an active realtor with experience in Saucon Valley real estate, homes in Historic Bethlehem, Upper Bucks real estate and other nearby areas. Katie is based in the Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty Bucks County office.
