Broker associate Jim Drews began his career as a real estate professional in 1995 and has been practicing full-time ever since. Before joining Premier Sotheby’s International Realty’s Plaza at Five Points office, he owned two real estate companies in southern Michigan. Prior to becoming a REALTOR®, Jim was the national sales manager for a major sporting goods manufacturer.
Originally from northern Indiana, Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education from Indiana University. With family located in Sarasota and Venice, he frequently visited the West Coast of Florida as a child before eventually relocating there. Over the years, Jim has witnessed the phenomenal growth of the Sarasota area, and is eager to bring his knowledge and expertise to his customers.
For fun, Jim enjoys golfing, boating and saltwater fishing, as well as spending time with family and friends. He is the proud father of three children: Mary Kate, a student at Hillsdale College in Michigan; Bryce, who attends Ashland University in Ohio; and Will, a student at Hillsdale High School. Jim currently maintains a second waterfront home at Coldwater Lake in Michigan. A believer in giving back to the community, Jim has served as the president of the Hillsdale Golf and Country Club, as well as the boards of several local civic clubs, his church and local REALTOR® association.
As a member of the Freedom Boat Club, Jim enjoys cruising away and exploring the West Coast of Florida.
