For over 30 years Dr. Lars Sikes has lived in the Pacific Northwest and has a comprehensive and genuine appreciation of the diverse communities in the Kitsap Peninsula, Hood Canal, and Bainbridge Island regions. Lars served in the Department of the Navy for more than 30 years in both a military and civilian capacities. As an engineer and program manager, he worked with academia, industry and DoD research labs on both national and international projects and programs. The international projects included joint missions with France, Germany, Norway, and Italy.
On the national program level, Lars was a key technical member providing expertise in research, development, manufacturing, evaluation, and validating technical requirements. Both the national and international programs provided a broad experience and knowledge in preparing contracts, project plans, and comprehensive business plans. Lars was also a founder and managing partner of The RECHARGE™ Institute which was a catalyst in creating learning environments to develop an integral alignment of individuals and organizations.
Now living on Bainbridge Island, Lars has a personal commitment to the community and serves as a volunteer for the Bainbridge Island Community Foundation. His hobbies include hiking, gardening, international travel, long distance motorcycle touring, fly fishing, home remodeling, beekeeping, ballroom dancing, and amateur photography. Lars is a Sotheby’s “agent of the exceptional” who is enthusiastic spirited, passionate, and has professional experience which provides a strong background for real estate in the Kitsap Peninsula and surrounding area.
