As an Associate Broker and Certified Relocation Professional, JoAnn Schwimmer works with a diverse portfolio of buyers, sellers and renters throughout the Manhattan residential market. With years of industry experience, primarily focusing on sales and corporate relocation, JoAnn’s clients value her strong market knowledge and understanding of the ever-changing real estate landscape. She understands the high-level of stress that can often come with the buying and selling process and takes an extremely personal approach with all of her clients, something that has helped her build a strong referral network and client-base.
JoAnn began her real estate career in 2000, and has completed countless transactions, many multi-million dollar deals, and has worked with a diverse range of clients that span from local renters looking for a one-bedroom apartment to international buyers searching for luxury homes. She has won many awards throughout her career including being a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Club as well as winning the Deal of the Year Award. In 2011, JoAnn was proud to have earned the national distinction of Certified Relocation Professional.
Prior to her real estate career, JoAnn spent several years working in management positions for the hospitality industry. She began her career in this field by working for one of the largest hotels in New England, equipping her with the know-how to manage a wide-range of personalities and meet individual client needs. JoAnn received a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from Boston University. She has been a member of the Real Estate Board of New York’s Sales Person Council since 2004, a position she was selected for by her co-workers. JoAnn is extremely media savvy and has been quoted in leading industry media including The New York Times, The Real Deal, New York Post and more. She understands the importance of media exposure for all of her listings, which combined with her sales expertise, has enabled her to produce award winning results for her clients.
