Carmen specializes in “Gulf to golf” houses and condos, concentrating on the islands, mainland Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, University Park and Palmer Ranch.

Carmen's father was a builder, teaching her math by having her break out a scale and read blueprints. As the owner of a design studio in Sarasota for 15 years, she naturally transitioned into real estate sales to enhance her customers' experiences. “I enjoy helping people in their decision-making by showing them what's possible in a space,” she says. In her career, Carmen has had the opportunity to work with many builders on their models; space planning and furniture design. Her art background has also allowed her to be the color consultant for French and English lines of wall coverings and fabrics customized for the U.S. market.
Carmen and her late husband first visited Siesta Key in 1983 during a particularly miserable winter in their hometown of Pittsburgh. They fell in love with the area, and returned home only to sell their house. The rest is history. She currently lives on Siesta Key. Carmen holds a BA in fine arts from Carnegie Mellon University and also attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. In her spare time, she enjoys collecting art, is a gourmet cook, raises orchids, loves dogs, and serves her community volunteering at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. Carmen was also the past president on the board of Selby Associates, supports Southeastern Guide Dogs and various other organizations.
