Originally from the Northeast, Patrick Munger was born and raised in upstate New York and made the move to Utah in 1998 to attend the University of Utah where he majored in English and Creative Writing. Initially drawn to the region for its world-famous skiing and iconic natural landscapes, Patrick fell in love with the rugged beauty of Utah and has called it home ever since. Now based in Salt Lake City, Patrick still snowboards at Solitude Resort on the weekends and spends his summers river-rafting, camping and hiking in the beautiful southern half of our state.
Before making the move into Real Estate, Patrick worked in Event Planning for ten years as the Creative Print and Media Director for Inuit Events. Working closely with Intuit Execs, graphic designers, print-vendors and hotel staff to coordinate large-scale events allowed Patrick to develop strong skills in communication, multi-tasking, coordination and planning. Although he enjoyed his time in event coordination and gained many valuable skills that allowed him to excel in the real estate industry, Patrick realized his desire to transition into a field that was more localized and personable. Recognizing his growing interest in architecture and a passion for the Salt Lake City area that had begun almost 20 years before, Patrick made the decision to trust his instincts and jump headfirst into real estate.
Patrick joined Summit Sotheby’s International Realty in the Summer of 2019 after being drawn to their reputation for excellence in the real estate field. As Utah’s only real estate brokerage with a dedicated, in-house marketing agency, Patrick found Summit Sotheby’s to be the most compelling firm in every aspect of the business. Patrick loves the satisfaction of making it to finish line with both buyer and seller after a successful transaction, and always keeps his client’s best interests in mind throughout the process.
When Patrick isn’t helping his clients buy or sell property, one of his greatest passions still lies in literature, reading and writing during his free time. A life-long learner, Patrick loves discovering new ideas, philosophies and stories and is also an avid chess player. He still loves being outdoors and thinks the best and most exciting way to enjoy the Beehive State is on a white-water river, rafting through the backcountry for several days at a time.
