Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Chris Maddox is an experienced real estate professional who has been serving clients around the globe since 2007, and in the greater Park City area for the last 13 years. Chris first moved to Utah to attend college at Brigham Young University in the mid-90’s. He would not only find love during his years in college (meeting his future wife there), but would also develop a deep appreciation for life in the Beehive State.

After graduating from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies, Chris moved into a career in Marketing and Advertising, where he focused on luxury real estate. He would eventually go on to work as a developer’s agent, specializing in golf course communities. His first development project was in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Cashiers, North Carolina. From there he worked on a beachfront development in Costa Rica before finally joining the Red Ledges team in 2009, where he stayed for the next 13 years before joining Summit Sotheby’s International Realty. At Red Ledges, Chris sold over $700 million in properties and was the top-producing agent in the entire community.

Chris was drawn to the leadership team, global reach and luxury branding of Sotheby’s International Realty, joining Summit SIR in the spring of 2022. Now Chris and his team are backed by the power and reach of the global Sotheby’s Realty brand, and by the professionals at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, Utah’s only luxury real estate brokerage with in-house teams specializing in everything from transaction management, digital and print marketing, professional photography and videography, accounting, legal and more. As Utah’s real estate leader, Summit Sotheby’s International Realty is committed to providing a luxury real estate experience for every client and property, regardless of the location, price point or size of home – core values that resonated with Chris’s own standards and high expectations.

Today Chris is an experienced, hardworking, and passionate real estate professional who serves clients at all price-points but specializes in gated private communities, luxury real estate and golf properties. He prides himself in working hard and staying ahead of the curve in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing industry to fulfill his clients’ goals. Over the last ten years, Chris has closed the most transactions of any member of the Park City MLS and ranks second overall in sales volume for that same time period. Chris is a motivated self-starter who enjoys a strong referral-based business from past and current happy clients – he doesn’t wait for new business to come to him, but rather goes out and creates it himself.

When he’s not working in real estate, Chris loves to ski, golf, play tennis and travel with his family. He and his wife have three beautiful children – Brooklyn, Sofia, and Owen. Chris and his family have been residents of Utah’s Red Ledges Community since 2015; they enjoy spending time together outside, exploring Utah’s beautiful mountains together.
