Since 2003, Mike Buenting has been assisting people with their real estate needs. Mike was with Lakes Sotheby’s International Realty for nine of those years, then took a few detours and is now back with Lakes Sotheby’s because he’s learned it’s the best company, with the best tools, and the best people.
As a relocation certified agent for 18 years of his real estate career, Mike has assisted people at all price points relocate to the Twin Cities - from corporate executives (CEO/CFO) to the entry level, recent graduates.
On the personal side Mike is a competitive triathlete. Mike races triathlon all over the world and has been a member of Team USA four times racing in countries including Australia and Denmark. Triathlon is a way of life, it’s a commitment and a passion. Mike applies this same hard-working, goal driven mindset to how he takes care of his real estate clients. Mike is also a marathon runner and has run the Boston marathon nine times (including the year of the bombing) with a PB marathon time of 2:39!
Mike’s daughter, Bella, graduated from Minnetonka High School where she was the MN Multisport Junior Athlete of the Year twice, and owns four records on triathlon courses in Minnesota. One of the greatest moments of Mike’s life was when Bella also qualified for Team USA at age 15 and they got to travel and compete in the ITU World championships side by side, this father/daughter duo represented the U.S. Bella now competes at the collegiate level.
Mike is also a dog lover, and a former professional fisherman and guide on Lake Minnetonka. So, selling lakeshore homes and understanding these properties is a strength.
