Lisa and her family relocated from New Jersey to Melbourne Beach in 1962. Her father chose Melbourne Beach partly because of the top-notch schools, sunny warm climate and because he was tired of shoveling the New Jersey snow!
Lisa and her family totally immersed themselves in the beach and water lifestyle. Her childhood included eating fresh blue crabs at her parent’s weekend getaway in Sebastian, teaching her family and friends to ski and soaking up the Florida sun. These early childhood experiences have shaped her love of the sunny beaches, rivers and all that Brevard County has to offer. On the weekends, you will find Lisa enjoying her most exhilarating past time, paddling. She is part of the Heart & Soul Dragon Boating Team comprised of breast cancer survivors and supporters and in 2022, Lisa and her team qualified for the World Championship. Lisa may also be spotted on either the Banana River or the Grand Canal in her Outrigger Canoe “Brutiful” with a beautiful dragon motif on the bow. Lisa believes that life can sometimes be beautiful and brutal all at the same time but is meant to be enjoyed to the fullest.
