Jennifer Tomes and her husband John fell in love with Santa Fe during frequent visits that began in the late ‘80s. In 2003, they made a lifestyle choice for their young family and moved from the Windy City of Chicago to make their home in the Land of Enchantment. A native of Texas, Jennifer received a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduating, she moved to Chicago to work for GE Capital’s Corporate Finance Group before joining a boutique investment management firm, PPM America, as Vice President of Private Placements. While working full-time, she earned an MBA from the University of Chicago. When she and her husband received the exciting news that their second child was on the way, Jennifer retired and became a full-time parent. It was during this time she learned the art of patience! Over the next decade, she turned her new-found love of nesting into an opportunity to create value in real estate through various purchases and extensive remodels. Then in 2011, when others were getting out of the business after a significant market correction, Jennifer decided it was the right time to combine her passion for homes with her professional skill set and she became a licensed Realtor. It was an ideal fit, and she has never looked back. With a focus on providing top notch service and knowledge, her success has been accomplished by leveraging analytical and negotiation skills with patience and perseverance. For Jennifer, it is truly an honor to assist people with this process. She finds fulfillment and joy in knowing that she is helping her clients make the best possible decisions.
