It has been an eventful journey from the moment I was adopted out of one the poorest districts of Bogota, Colombia in the early 80’s to my life today. Raised by two loving parents in Metchosin, I feel that I had the best of both worlds with my father coming from the West Coast of BC and my mother from NYC. They both encouraged me to camp, fish, hike, mountain bike, sail and run all over this beautiful island. When I was six my family went sailing for over a year around the Caribbean and the eastern seaboard. Coupled with childhood trips to NYC, my love of culture and travel was awakened early.
This led me to a fourteen-year career in the cruise ship industry where I began in entertainment and progressed into the role of fine art auctioneer and gallery manager. I acquired additional experience as a port consultant and luxury jewelry advisor. The highlight of these years was meeting and working with people from all around the world. I have worked collaboratively with my fellow crew members and have been involved in business transactions and negotiations with guests, retailers, and merchants onboard and ashore in the ports of call. I’ve engaged with individuals from myriad cultures and environments, travelling to almost 100 countries. I’ve had a great time auctioning animation and sports memorabilia as well as assisting discerning collectors, helping them acquire works such as Picasso’s Le Suite Vollard.
Living on the island allows me to enjoy different activities all year round. Whether it’s hiking, mountain biking, rugby, triathlon, or ballroom dance; we have it all right here. My lifelong yoga study has brought me a sense of balance and calm. Spending time in India, Nepal and Tibet I’ve immersed myself in these practices and learned to share them with others.
These experiences have taught me to have a deep appreciation for different points of view. It’s my nature to be present in the moment and focused on the person in front of me. I want to hear your story, your wants and needs. I understand that helping you buy or sell a home requires sensitivity.
