Born and raised on the lush landscapes of a Connemara farm in Co. Galway, Ireland, Mary Jo's academic journey led her to earn an Honors Degree in science with a specialization in biochemistry. After three impactful years as a high school biology teacher, she moved to Florida in 2004 to be with her husband, Michael O'Regan. Settling on the picturesque Marco Island, Mary Jo continued to illuminate young minds as a 7th-grade science teacher at the Marco Island Charter Middle School, an endeavor that earned her the prestigious title of Teacher of the Year.
A member of the National Association of REALTORS®, Marco Island Association of REALTORS®, and Naples Board of REALTORS®, Mary Jo's commitment extends beyond professional boundaries into her vibrant community. As an active member of the SWFL Sons & Daughters of Erin and a contributor to the Naples St. Patrick's Foundation, Mary Jo supports local community initiatives with enthusiasm. A blessed breast cancer survivor, she also serves as a board member of the American Cancer Association on Marco Island.
Immersed in the beauty of her surroundings, Mary Jo's love for her home finds expression in her affiliation with the Marco Island Historical Society. Her vocal talents enrich her community, resonating in the halls of her church, community fundraisers, and even as the anthem for the ALS Odyssey, aiding the ALS Association's research endeavors. In 2016, she orchestrated the inaugural Walk To Defeat ALS on Marco Island, honoring her friend Cindy Amerine, the composer of the ALS Odyssey anthem.
Outside of real estate, Mary enjoys spinning and sharing her days with Seamus, her beloved Spring Spaniel. She humorously credits Seamus as her trusted assistant, playfully acknowledging his role in selling Southwest Florida.
