A broker for more than thirty years, Dan DeVan provides every client—from the first-time homebuyer to the experienced investor—with the same level of committed service. Dan appreciates his role as a guide and strives to educate his clients to help them make the best decisions based on their unique goals. Dan grew up in New York City before embarking on a career as an insurance underwriter in Boston. He advanced to a senior reinsurance underwriter role for a Switzerland-based company and subsequently launched his career in real estate, which began with buying, renovating and selling residential and commercial properties in Massachusetts and Connecticut. One of his most exciting projects involved renovating the oldest warehouse in North America, located in Marblehead, Massachusetts. This, in addition to his dynamic experience as an investment property owner, has brought him unmatched insight into the complexities of the buying and selling process. A strong proponent for giving back to his community, Dan and his twin brother served as a volunteer at the World Trade Center in New York City from December 2001 through January 2002. He is a former member of the Columbia Shuttle Recovery team in Nacogdoches, Texas and was part of the animal rescue effort in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.
