Past & Personal
Previously a French teacher (University of Victoria graduate), Andrew places a very high value on communication and education when working with clients. He combined his interests in education and business in 2003 in Taiwan where he opened a chess school which still runs today. Outside of his work Andrew is dedicated to his family; he is proactively involved in his daughter’s martial arts and studies at UBC and his son’s education and soccer involvement at Pacific FC’s junior Wave program. He and his wife enjoy hiking and camping with the family throughout Vancouver Island.
The Hobbs family sponsors a boy named Abel in Malawi through SOS Children’s Villages.
