Description
What’s calling you? Is it time to place new roots in a city you love, cut down your commute or do away with it entirely, make room for a baby on the way, move elder relatives closer to you, showcase your art collections, part with a legacy property, or establish an intergenerational home to enjoy to enjoy with and leave to your family?
Your priorities and dreams lead the process; the property just happens to be the vehicle. Melony’s a keen listener and strategist who lets you understand and articulate your why.
Her in-depth guidance––with a focus on your needs and your numbers––will leave you empowered with a sense of leverage and sharp navigation of the market.
Melony’s buyer clients typically write one offer and win. And her seller clients typically sell for 7% above the listing price, in under two weeks.
Advising Metro Boston home buyers and sellers of all walks since 2010, Melony’s primarily referred and repeat-client relationships have led to $250 million in sales. She serves markets along Boston’s subway and light rail, especially those around the Harvard University teaching hospitals of the Longwood Medical Area, including Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, Roxbury and Dorchester; and the cities and towns of Brookline, Newton and Cambridge.
A consummate relationship-builder and connector, Melony cultivates a referral network of thoughtful, like-minded Sotheby’s International Realty advisors from coast to coast. Her clients also benefit from her introductions to select financial advisors, lenders and estate attorneys.
Melony is continually inspired by modern art, green design and the natural world. You can always join her on an amble through the Arnold Arboretum, her neighborhood backyard. You can also find her practicing Muay Thai kickboxing, or yoga, a beloved discipline of over two decades.
Melony has an undergraduate degree in urban studies from Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art and Planning. A first-generation American, her family hails from Jamaica. She lives with her husband in Jamaica Plain, Boston’s most tree-filled neighborhood and her home of over two decades.
Melony is emeritus chair of the board of the Eliot School of Fine & Applied arts, a nearly 350-year-old community manual arts school in Boston.
She co-hosts the pod-/webcast Blacklining Forum on black wealth, power and land.
