Kim Penny is the Employing Broker for Legacy Properties West - Sotheby's International Realty in Durango, Colorado. She grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, and attended the University of Nebraska on an athletic scholarship. Kim has been a licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker since 2005. In 2008, she was named one of REALTOR® MAGAZINE's 30 Under 30, and in 2009 was among the top 5 producers in the Durango area. She joined the Legacy Properties West - Sotheby's International Realty team in 2013 and was selected by Anywhere Real Estate, Inc., to participate in their Executive Leadership Experience. Kim graduated from the Ascend program in 2022. She has years of investment and sales experience and has represented clients on a variety of transactions, ranging from primary residence and investment property to development and commercial property sales.
Kim also spends time as a public speaker, sharing her message about overcoming adversity with high school and college students. In her free time, she enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and spending time outside with her family.
