Johanna Sawdai grew up in New York City and earned her B.S. degree from Pace University before relocating to South Florida, where she fell in love with the beaches, balmy weather, and vibrant coastal lifestyle. Her passion for helping people and real estate led her to obtain her Real Estate License in 2000, launching a career that would span over two decades. She began with one of the country’s largest builders, gaining comprehensive experience in construction, customer service, negotiation, and the entire homebuilding process. This foundation gave her a deep understanding of both the technical and human aspects of real estate, which she continues to apply in every client transaction.
After meeting her husband, Mike—who also works in real estate—they relocated to Flagler Beach in 2003. Johanna continued in new home sales until the birth of their son, when she chose to take time away from her career to focus on family. During this period, she earned a degree in Occupational Therapy and worked with patients to regain independence in their daily lives, further refining her communication, problem-solving, and client-focused skills. Ultimately, her enduring love for real estate drew her back, and she accepted a position in new home sales at one of the area’s largest golf and country clubs before joining Sotheby’s International Realty in the Flagler/Palm Coast area.
Johanna’s heritage is from Colombia, South America, and she is fluent in Spanish. She is an active member of her community, belongs to The Hammock Beach Resort, and holds membership in both the Daytona Beach Area Association of REALTORS® and the Flagler County Association of REALTORS®. Her love of the Hammock area inspired her and Mike to build their dream home in Ocean Hammock, where they now reside. She enjoys practicing Pilates regularly, spending quality time with family, cooking for friends, and supporting local events and charities. Johanna and Mike now work together as part of the SZL Team at ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, combining their experience and expertise to serve clients throughout Florida’s east coast.
