With a background spanning two countries and seven states, Lawton brings a unique perspective to the Charleston real estate market.
Hard work is Lawton’s foundation for success, and years in the rink prepared him to stay cool in high-pressure, competitive environments. Lawton channels the same enthusiasm, commitment, and team-oriented mindset into guiding clients toward their dream homes or navigating successful property sales. With experience in interior design through work with Paris Interiors on the West Coast, he earned a further understanding of how houses become homes.
Born in Los Angeles and raised across various cities in the United States and Canada, he brings a wealth of experience in relocation services. Lawton earned his degree from Western Michigan University, backed by a full-ride Division 1 hockey scholarship. After graduating, he accepted an offer to play professional hockey for the Charleton-based South Carolina Stingrays before he transitioned into real estate.
His passion also extends into spaces outside of work. A lover of golf, cooking, and cherished moments with family, his well-rounded approach resonates with clients from all walks of life. And, like many in Charleston, he's on a never-ending quest for the finest oysters in town.
