Originally from Rumson, New Jersey, Alissa has called Winston-Salem home since 2013. With a background in communications and a keen eye for design, she seamlessly guides buyers and sellers through every step of their real estate journey.
After earning her bachelor's degree in communication from Wake Forest University, Alissa moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked as a lobbyist for the musicFIRST Coalition. In this role, she collaborated with major music industry organizations — including the Grammy Foundation and the Recording Industry Association of America — working to pass key legislation through the Judiciary Committee. While in D.C., she pursued a master's degree in public relations and corporate communication from Georgetown University.
Alissa's career path then led her to Virginia Tech, where she specialized in event and conference planning, followed by a role as a PR specialist and senior copywriter at Vela Strategic Marketing and Public Relations. Her clients included Novant Health and PTI Airport, further strengthening her expertise in branding and strategic communications.
Her transition into real estate was more than a career move, it was a calling. Alissa has long been captivated by homes, particularly Winston-Salem's historic estates, and she thrives on helping customers see the potential in every property. Her experience managing social media for a prominent home builder gave her valuable insight into the new construction process, while her love for renovations allows her to guide buyers through fixer-uppers with confidence.
