Before her real estate career, Deborah distinguished herself in the private sector advising American companies on international ventures. For many years, she held senior roles in the United States Senate, including as a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and as a Senior Policy Advisor. Her extensive experience drafting and overseeing the passage of federal legislation - along with her experience at the highest levels of the U.S. Government - have honed her negotiation skills and global perspective. For many years, Deborah has been a Member on the Virginia Board of Medicine by gubernatorial appointment - serving on its Executive Committee. Deborah is recognized for her leadership and commitment to service. Fluent in English and Spanish, her faith and extensive travels continue to inspire her longstanding involvement in humanitarian projects - - including years as the Director of Government Affairs for a major international relief organization, and overseeing the construction of 5,200 homes for disaster survivors. Together with René, Deborah has raised five children, infusing her personal and professional life with warmth, dedication, and purpose.
