Mike Bohlender is a real estate broker with LIV Sotheby’s International Realty in Summit County, Colorado. He brings more than 30 years of local real estate and appraisal experience to help clients navigate an ever-changing real estate market.
Originally from Michigan, Mike moved to Summit County in 1995 and founded Alpine Appraisal, Inc. in 1998. During his 20 year appraisal career, he evaluated thousands of properties and built a deep understanding of local values, neighborhoods, and market cycles. In 2015, he transitioned into real estate sales, applying his analytical background, negotiation skills, and client-first approach to every transaction.
Mike is dedicated to helping his clients achieve their real estate goals. He prioritizes frequent feedback and updates to clients, clear communication and transparency during the transaction process. Whether working with long-time locals, second homeowners or seasoned investors, Mike listens carefully to each client’s goals and tailors his marketing and negotiation strategies accordingly. He holds the Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) and Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS) designations.
Mike remains deeply involved in the Summit County community. He served eight years on the Town of Silverthorne Planning Commission and currently sits on the Willowbrook Architectural Review Committee. Other volunteer time is spent with High Country Soccer, Friends of the Dillon Ranger District and the Summit Historical Society. Outside of real estate, he enjoys pickleball, hiking, biking, and spending time in Colorado high country. He also enjoys playing cribbage, visiting local craft breweries, and cooking with his wife, Peggy. Between them, Mike and Peggy have multiple children and grandchildren living in the county, keeping them deeply connected to the Summit County community they call home.
