Native Houstonian Katie Elsbury has a life-long affection for the North Houston region. A native of “Old Humble” and a longtime resident of the Cypress area, Katie works with buyers and sellers throughout Houston and its surrounding suburbs of Cypress, Spring, Tomball, Champions, Magnolia, Katy and more.
Katie’s eye for staging, interior design and decor, and what gives a home inviting curb appeal is a tremendous advantage for her clients. Tenacious and thorough, she understands that finding the right buyer for her sellers, or the perfect home for her buyers, is more involved than simply presenting an offer or finding a house. “I’m honored when I’m asked to be an integral part of someone’s home search. Helping individuals and families find their ideal home to serve as a sanctuary tailored to their unique dreams and goals should be undertaken with an attitude of importance and thoughtfulness. Katie credits her previous career in journalism and medical textbook editing with training her to dig deep for information and pay scrupulous attention to even the smallest detail. “I began my professional life with a career in print journalism as a staff writer for the Houston Chronicle and segued into editing medical textbooks, first at Baylor College of Medicine and then at the University of California Los Angeles. Editing complex, multi-chapter medical textbooks required me to keep tabs on a lot of moving parts while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and excellence. I bring that same level of concentration and commitment to helping my real estate clients achieve successful transactions.”
A graduate of Humble High School, Katie attended Sam Houston State University and earned a degree in journalism and mass communication. She volunteers regularly at her children’s schools, for sporting clay tournaments that include and benefit disabled veterans, and her church.
Katie and her husband are the parents of two young girls. She enjoys spending time with her family, tennis, shooting sporting clays, spending time in the country and traveling.
