The apartment in which Jimi Hendrix hung up his guitar after his legendary performance in Woodstock in 1969 is now on the market for $6 million (around €4.3 million).
The 250 square meter apartment is composed of two units situated on the 11th floor of the prestigious building on 59 West 12TH Street, in the historic neighborhood Greenwich Village in Manhattan New York.
The house was designed by a partner of Carolina George, a noted interior design company, that worked on the furnishing and design of the interior. In addition, the luxury apartment is graced with a wonderful north facing terrace with a fantastic view of the city.
Jimi Hendrix is not the only celebrity to be connected with this magnificent building. Other celebrities include Marisa Tomei and Cameron Diaz, as well as designer Isaac Mizrahiwho who has recently bought an apartment for $3.3 million (around €2.5 million).
The building was designed by Emery Roth and was built in 1931 by Bing & Bing, the same duo that worked on prestigious buildings such as The Eldorado and The Beresford in Central Park West. In Greenwich Village, they created this majestic building made up of 17 floors and 101 apartments.
