This magnificent estate is located in the parish of Messejana, municipality of Aljustrel. Province of Baixo Alentejo, with excellent access, about 17 km from the access to the A23 South Highway, access from Aljustrel. 170km from the capital Lisbon and 100km from the Algarve.
The entrance of the homeland is made through 1.5km in dirt.
81ha of land area inserted in the Special Protection Zone of Castro Verde, where it is possible to observe birds characteristic of the site. In the heart of alentejo this property excels for its environmental awareness having as mission a sustainable aspect. Family business since 1998, the homeage is composed of cork mounted, pine forest and about 15ha of pomegranate trees. Being the main yield of the homeage the pomegranate orchard, through the marketing and production of pomegranates.
The estate has a dwelling house. A pavilion of agricultural machinery, greenhouses of tree nurseries and also a water tank with weather station. The water supply is made through 2 holes, a well and a dam. When experiencing periods of greater drought, solar panels are used to pump water. Irrigation management is done through probes incorporated into the orchards.
Biological hedges composed of more than 20 species of shrubs have also been implemented, which are in flowering almost all year round, which allows a natural control of pests and, consequently, the non-use of insecticides, since 2019, contributing to a balance in the ecosystem. The orchards have natural grassing, a tool of extreme importance as a component of functional biodiversity and reduction of erosion.
