Quinta da Guarita is a 17th century property with great historical relevance.
Considered one of the most important properties in central Portugal.

An illustrious family lived there and great personalities from the history of the country and the world passed through there.
During the Peninsular War or French invasions, General Wellesley, later 1st Duke of Wellington, stayed overnight at the Manor House before the Battle of Bucaco.
This fantastic property is located close to Santa Comba Dao, in the district of Viseu.
With a covered area of 1601m2 and 336 378m2 of land, Quinta da Guarita is composed of:

Next to the main entrance of the Solar is the chapel with invocation to Sao Sebastiao, dated from the 18th century, access to the chapel can be done from inside and outside the Manor House.

In the corner of the main facade, in great prominence, is the coat of arms of the Serpa Pimentel family, first owners of Quinta da Guarita.

The land at Quinta da Guarita is very fertile and has plenty of water in the basement, proof of this are the wells and mines dispersed throughout the property.
One of the property's wells was made with large granite stones and has winding stairs along its interior.
In addition to some fruit and olive trees, next to the Manor there is a majestic poplar and tilapia, several camellias and a boxwood tree.
There is also a forest of oaks and cork trees in growth and a small eucalyptus.
Located in the district of Viseu and municipality of Santa Comba Dao, Quinta da Guarita has an open and magnificent view over the Serra da Estrela.
It is 3 km from the A35 and also from IP3, the main access roads in the region.
This area of the country has many places of historical, natural and gastronomic interest, an example of which is the Mata Nacional do Bucaco, Dao's eco-trail built on the old railway line with 48km in length between Santa Comba Dao and Viseu.
It is 30km from Luso, Serra do Bucaco and Serra do Caramulo.
