Kasey has been a Floridian for over 15 years, she was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was imbued with a sense of family, integrity and hard work, which she carries with her today. At a young age, she learned the love of sports, including team work, pushing one’s self to excel and the love of competition. Kasey lettered in four sports in high school, earning a coveted college scholarship to play Division I soccer at North Carolina State University, where she was recognized as not only an athlete, but a scholar athlete. Once her eligibility ran out at NC State, she continued to play on the UF women’s club soccer team while earning her Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Florida. Levi, Kasey’s husband, was attending law school at UF and they became and remain lifelong Gator fans. Upon graduation, Kasey earned the immediate opportunity to work for a billion-dollar environmental engineering firm. She designed and completed multi-million-dollar sewer and water projects, serving Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia residents and businesses. During this time in her career, she learned to appreciate how property is valued and how it needs attention to maintain and retain its value. In addition to a prosperous engineering career, Kasey and her husband have actively invested in, designed and developed many Northeast Florida neighborhoods. These projects were sold to some of the country's best publicly traded homebuilders. Kasey and her husband bought their first home in the San Marco area in 2003, after falling in love with the character of the historic neighborhood. This quickly led Kasey to the realization she loved everything about the real estate industry. Here was a way to use her engineering skills, her knowledge of the environment and property values, as well as her effervescent personality to drive a career. Three homes later, Kasey and Levi are still residing in San Marco, where they are raising their four busy children. They enjoy watching and coaching their children in various activities such as ballet, soccer, basketball and swimming. Kasey thoroughly enjoys currently coaches a Jacksonville Youth Armada Soccer travel team. Using her organizational skills, consistent attention to detail, remarkable communication talents and dedication to customer needs, Kasey provides exceptional and quality service to First Coast Sotheby's International Realty and its clients.

Prior to purchasing First Coast Sotheby's International Realty in 2009, Jeffrey was founder & CEO of several building, design, and development companies that specialized in luxury single family residences throughout Northeast Florida. Mr. Chefan has successfully created and sold over 50 multi-million dollar properties in Aspen, Colorado; Boca Raton, Ponte Vedra Beach, St. Augustine and Jacksonville, Florida. He obtained a florida Certified Building Contractors License in 1987 and a Florida Real Estate License in 1988. Mr. Chefan is currently the managing broker of all four First Coast SIR offices located in N. E. Florida. Jeffrey & Jane Chefan have been married for over 28 years and are blessed to be the parents of two daughters. They have a passion and love for family, friends, and real estate that flows over into the relationships built with their clients.
