Kent first became involved in the Utah real estate industry in 2003, taking on a variety of roles in marketing, sales, development and management.
When the recession hit in 2009 Kent shifted gears, diving into the world of experiential events. He quickly became the go to guy for companies like the Ragnar Relay Series and The Color Run. As VP of Operations he managed a whopping 150+ events annually and helped The Color Run skyrocket from start-up to over $50 million in revenue in just 3 years. This role gave him incredible experiences that sharpened his business acumen as he negotiated tough contracts with cities like Washington DC, New York City and Philadelphia. His role often had him sitting around the table with organizations such as Homeland Security, the National Park Service, NYPD and state and local government officials in cities across the country. Simply put, Kent knows how to work with people, navigate stressful situations and create a win-win for all involved.
Fast forward to 2017 and Kent decided it was time to head back to his real estate roots. He co-founded MTN & MAIN Real Estate and the brokerage quickly rose to be in the Top 20% of all Brokerages in Utah, serving more than 350 families and selling over $140 million in real estate with Kent as the acting Principal Broker. Kent has been named as one of Northern Utah's Top 250 Agents since 2019 and consistently receives 5 star customer reviews from his clients.
In 2023, Summit Sotheby's International Realty knocked on Kent's door with an opportunity to merge MTN & MAIN with Summit Sotheby's, taking their game to a whole new level. He saw this as an opportunity to provide an even better level of service to his growing client base. More tools, more connections, and a chance to spread the Summit Sotheby's brand even further in Northern Utah
Kent is a graduate from the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business, a father of five, and spent some of his young adult years living in Central France, Switzerland and London England. Kent's diverse background in both life and business enriches his approach to real estate. Outdoorsy, bookworm, and a family guy, Kent thrives on building lasting friendships through his real estate adventures.
