This neighborhood offers an interesting contrast between French classicism of the Palais Royal or Place Vendôme and the modernity of the Halles. This small area in the heart of the city boasts numerous well-known attractions: it is here that you can find the Louvre, one of the most influential museums in the world, along with the beautiful Jardins des Tuileries and many other monuments. This neighborhood is the embodiment of luxury and elegance with its lavish buildings inherited from its aristocratic past. The elite residents appreciate the numerous exclusive boutiques, such as the high-end jewelry stores that fill the renowned rue de la Paix. Other grand routes such as rue de Rivoli complete one of the most well-to-do neighborhoods of the French capital. Considering the size of the area, the presence of numerous touristic attractions and commercial activity, the neighborhood offers a limited residential luxury real estate market. Nevertheless, it is still much sought-after by high-end buyers, above all foreigners, that wish to live in a well-known central neighborhood. It is composed of four areas: Palais Royal, Place Vendôme, Saint-Germain l'Auxerrois and les Halles. The latter, which is always full of life, offers a more contemporary vision of Paris, while the others reflect the historical nature of the city, with high-end buildings dated back from the seventeenth century to the nineteenth century. New constructions are extremely rare, nevertheless, the prestigious period apartments are often completely renovated and offer modern facilities. Magnificent duplex apartments and lofts make the luxury real estate market of this neighborhood stand out, along with the view of the Seine, the monuments and the Tuileries, which add an added value to the neighborhood.
