A resident of the Vail Valley since 2002, Matt ventured to the Rockies from New England for a love of the outdoor mountain lifestyle. A Middlebury College Graduate with a background in the financial industry, Matt has been a top-producer in the real estate industry in Eagle County since 2005.
Matt's clients most often use the words integrity, intelligence and passion when describing his approach to working on their behalf. Uncompromising market knowledge and a strong work ethic have enabled Matt to consummate a wide variety of transactions ranging from some of the area’s highest-end resort sales to vacant land and local’s housing throughout the Vail Valley. Matt also has significant expertise in new development sales while working as an exclusive listing agent and leading the project sales team for Frontgate | Avon, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Vail, and Peregrine Villas on Beaver Creek, in addition to several other successful projects. An annual top-producer in Eagle County, Matt sold over $100M of real estate in 2021 as well as in 2023 and 2024. Based upon the latest results from the annual Real Trends Agent Rankings for individual broker dollar volume in 2023, Matt placed #1 in LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, #2 for all of Eagle County and #11 in the state of Colorado. Matt was one of only 35 Sotheby’s brokers to rank in the top 250 in the nation.
Matt has been involved with several organizations and Boards over the years, including serving as Chairman (President) of the Vail Board of Realtors, the Colorado Young Professionals Network, the Vail Board of Realtors Foundation, and several other industry committees. Matt was recognized as the 2011 Realtor of the Year in Vail for his overall dedication to the profession. Matt has achieved the Certified Residential Specialist, Resort and Second Home Property Specialist, Certified International Property Specialist, Green Designation, At Home With Diversity Accreditation, and Certified Distressed Property Expert Designations.
Matt lives in EagleVail with his wife, Lynn, and his son Thomas. When he's not selling real estate, you will find Matt pursuing his passions of skiing, hockey, mountain biking, and coaching youth sports. Matt is also an avid supporter of Sudden Cardiac Arrest awareness and his wife's nonprofit, Starting Hearts.
