Drew Pursell, a licensed Realtor since 2001, has built his business as a Texas Residential Leasing Specialist that places his client’s interest as his top priority. His reputation as a “low-pressure real estate professional” has yielded Drew a strong base of repeat clients that often refer him to others in the landlord/tenant market. While many Realtors, dabble in the leasing arena, Drew’s entire business model is focused on this large and growing segment of the industry. With his 20+ years of experience in this field, he can share is knowledge and wisdom with a range of prospective landlords, whether it is privately-owned houses and townhomes, corporately owned condominiums, and multi-family buildings, or even property management firms. And with this vast amount of experience, he is able to quickly adapt with his clients based upon tenant feedback in a very fluid manner. Also, being an inner loop resident for many years, he is quite familiar with the countless neighborhoods inside Loop 610, including The Heights, Montrose, West University, and the Texas Medical Center, giving his clients an added advantage as he is capable of seeing real-time trends as they happen in the housing market.
When working with clients who are searching for the perfect property to lease and call ‘home’, Drew is careful to focus on their initial conversation with regards to what they are looking for in a home. He is cognizant of their initial reaction to each property and files that away in his mental database to better understand what truly appeals to his clients. Drew also makes a point to intently listen to what matters to each individual client including what their hobbies may be, where their work location is, and what each individual ranks as the most important aspect of where they would like to live in this great city.
Originally from Southern Illinois, Drew is a Pi Kappa Alpha alumnus from Murray State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. For a little over a decade, he refined his skills in the retail industry where he was employed as a Human Resource Manager for a high-volume corporation. It was during this time, the formative years of his career, where he mastered the technique of “listening between the lines”. This ability, coupled with his vast knowledge of the Houston leasing market, has positioned Drew as the go-to referral agent for other Realtors that are not as comfortable handling a lease for their clients and want to be sure to entrust them with a true expert in his field.
A self-proclaimed ‘foodie’, Drew loves the fact that Houston is home to some of the best restaurants in the world. The culinary scene inside the loop is ever-changing and Drew, a true believer in supporting local establishments, makes it a point to try at least one new restaurant a week. With Drew’s dedication to not just his profession, but also his desire to be a great human, it is his desire to build not just long-term business relationships, but lasting friendships.
