She believes strongly in the importance of continuing education, professional excellence, and giving back to her community, having earned numerous advanced designations including her Broker’s license, Accredited Land Consultant (ALC), Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES).

As a member of Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty, Janis leverages the firm’s world-class marketing platform and global reach to position her clients’ properties for maximum exposure and results. The majority of her business comes from past clients and referrals—a testament to the trust she builds and the exceptional service she provides throughout every stage of the buying and selling process.

Janis’s deep roots in the region extend well beyond her professional life. She and her husband, Charles, have proudly called Bastrop County home since 1975 and remain actively involved in both the Bastrop and Smithville communities. They currently reside in the Colovista community and operate a cattle ranch just outside of Smithville. Charles served as Criminal District Attorney for 25 years before retiring to focus on ranching and enjoying his time on the golf course. When she isn't assisting clients, Janis enjoys cooking, golfing, and swimming laps. Together, she and Charles share a love of travel—especially trips to Hawaii—and in June 2026, they will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary.
